Turn off mobile broadband while roaming:

In addition to the windows based setting, NoData from Modaco is a nice application.

Use Windows PC as remote to control the device:

MyMobiler is nice and allows to control touchscreen and non-touchscreen WM devices.

This is also a nice way to get screenshots of the mobile device.

Create shortcuts:

Use Totalcommander to create shortcuts to programs not displayed in the application folder.

To get a shortcut, a shortcut file ("programname.lnk") has to be created in the "Windows/Start Menu" folder:

Within the .lnk-file specify a text line such as (example): "\Program Files\Folder\program.exe"

The Samsung is sometimes a bit laggy, but the good keyboard hides this problem.
